In my continuing effort to stay in the warm weather as much as possible, I’ve spent a couple of days here in Helen, GA instead of pressing on up the trail. The past few days have been really beautiful and warm but there is a cold front moving through tomorrow. I hope I don’t go stir crazy in my hotel before it warms up a little more. I’m hoping with all of the sun and warm weather that the trail will be relatively snowless when I get back out there.

I hope you are keeping a good journal. You shoulod write a book! W
ReplyDeleteI've been toying with the idea of writing a book while I'm out here but getting started has proven pretty daunting. I have a good outline though. I've always thought that it would be awesome to write a cool fantasy novel. I figure I could get some nice inspiration from the outdoors on this trip.
ReplyDeleteNow I hear you may stay put awhile.
ReplyDeleteWriting that book could give you something to do now. I want to read that book!!Or weather here is still full of rain- rain - rain. but I guess that is better than the extreme cold you are experiencing. We had 15 below for two straight weeks when we moved to Indianapolis. The house got so cold from moving in I thought we would never get it warm---And your Gpa was travelling. For the first time in my life I was alone in a strange place with three little children . We made it through though.
Be sure to illustrate your book. You always had a knack for cartoons. If you need supplies let me know and W I will send them pronto.
ReplyDeleteHi Beir!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the updates and the pictures. They're lovely sights. I wonder if you get to stargaze or watch sunrises and sunsets. Must be very pretty out there.
Has your dog chased any squirrels yet?
Miss you.

THAT LOOKS COLD!
ReplyDeleteUgh!
Roman says your doggy looks happy, and I agree!
Hope you're having fun even though you're likely freezing your nuts off.

We miss you loads! I hope you update this soon. The photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHey Beir!
ReplyDeleteYour updates and pictures are so inspirational! It makes me want to go for a hike too.. but then I remember that I'm not a fan of hiking. lol. It's been a few weeks since your last post, so I hope all is well in the wilderness. And remember.. when you make it to PA, I'll bring you some home-cooked food!
